Whether it's your first visit to Paris or your fiftieth, the city's rich culture offers endless opportunities to explore something new. When I started traveling, I avoided tours because I thought they would be too time-consuming, or I didn't want to be around strangers. I still occasionally feel this way, but after trying out a few tours, I was pleasantly surprised. I'd like to share some tours and day trips from Paris that I believe are worth your time when visiting. I book all my tours exclusively through Viator, as I find their customer service very helpful.
Seine River Cruise and Champagne Toast
The Seine is an iconic and historic landmark in Paris that you must experience at least one visit there. My second visit to Paris was the first time I took a Seine Cruise and I loved it so much more than I thought I would. Personally when traveling I am not huge on guided tours or group activities because it can feel restrictive and eats up alot of your time. This experience was one of those where you can relax and take it all in with the people you're with. The tour guide provides history on the city during the ride that was felt informative and made the experience that much better.
Croissant Making Class
If you're planning a trip to Paris, you're likely aware of the prominent bread and pastry baking culture. In France, quality ingredients are of utmost importance, and having a front-row seat to see how this process is done is a delightful experience. Whether you love baking or want to do something different on your trip, this is a great option for all ages.
Champagne Tasting Day Trip - Multiple Wineries
Champagne originated in the Champagne region of France, making it the only place in the world where true Champagne is produced. For Champagne lovers, visiting this region offers a unique opportunity to experience firsthand how this iconic sparkling wine is made, from the vineyards to the cellars where it is aged before being exported around the world. Tasting Champagne at its source while learning about its centuries-old history and traditions makes for an unforgettable experience. It's also a perfect day trip from the city, especially if you don't have time to travel all the way to the south of France or explore other parts of Europe.
Important note: Paris is a city where reservations can make or break your experience. I highly reccommend booking all reservations as soon as possible to ensure a seamless experience and saving precious time on you trip.
