Babacool Beach Club: Where To Spend A Perfect Day in St. Maarten

The vibes at Babacool? A solid 10.

We got there around noon and lucked out with perfect weather all day. There were four of us, and we grabbed front-row beach chairs, which just made the whole day. We did book in advance, but depending on the day you could probably get away with walking in. We started with a bottle of wine and took our time going through the Michelin-starred menu. Everything sounded incredible, but I went with the lobster roll. I’ll almost always choose seafood—especially on vacation—and this one did not disappoint. Paired with a limoncello spritz, it was the kind of lunch you don’t forget. Easy 10/10.

The crowd was exactly what you want: relaxed, unbothered, there to unwind. Honestly, my dream date vibe. The DJ played laid-back house that fit the Dutch-side beach club energy perfectly—never too loud, never too much. Just right. This is my kind of day: good food, specialty cocktails, tanning, swimming, repeat. It sets the tone for your entire trip, and Babacool knows exactly how to deliver that experience.

And everything is pink… so obviously, I loved it.

Whether you’re celebrating something or just want a chill day, Babacool really stands out. The beach beds, main restaurant, and pool area all flow together seamlessly—super cohesive, super aesthetic. I could just as easily come here for a relaxed date as I could for a fun day with friends.

It strikes that perfect balance between laid-back beach day and low-key celebration. You can lounge and swim all day, or lean into the cocktails and make it a moment.

Simpson Bay Beach itself is stunning—soft sand, turquoise water, and gentle-ish waves that make it easy to go in and out all day. I took multiple dips between tanning (as you should). April is such a perfect time to visit, and the hillside views in the background make the whole setting feel even more special. It’s the kind of scenery that elevates the entire beach club experience.

The service matched the vibe—attentive, friendly, but never overbearing. I felt taken care of while still being able to fully relax. Everyone we interacted with spoke fluent English and French, which made everything seamless.

Overall, Babacool is swanky, chic, and effortlessly relaxing. The kind of place you leave already planning your next visit to St. Maarten.
